Overview

pembrolizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Quaratusugene ozeplasmid (Reqorsa) is an investigational immunogene therapy that delivers the TUSC2 tumor suppressor gene via a lipid nanoparticle vector. The combination of these agents is being studied for their synergistic effects in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients who have progressed on prior pembrolizumab therapy. Preclinical data suggest that this combination increases survival and enhances immune activity by increasing natural killer cells and reducing PD-L1 expression on tumor cells[1][9].
