Overview

Pembrolizumab + quavonlimab is a fixed-dose combination of two monoclonal antibodies developed as an immunotherapy for cancer. Pembrolizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets and inhibits the programmed cell death protein 1 receptor (PD-1) on T cells, thereby blocking an inhibitory pathway and enhancing T-cell mediated immune responses against tumor cells. Quavonlimab is a monoclonal antibody that targets cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), another immune checkpoint, further promoting anti-tumor immunity by stimulating T-cell activation. The combination aims to provide synergistic effects by dual checkpoint inhibition, and it is being investigated in multiple advanced solid tumors including renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, melanoma, colorectal cancer, small cell lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and other solid tumors[1][3][4][7].
