Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pemetrexed + temsirolimus is a combination therapy that has been investigated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Pemetrexed is an anti-folate chemotherapeutic agent approved for use in NSCLC, while temsirolimus is an inhibitor of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, which is implicated in lung cancer development. The combination has been evaluated in a phase I clinical trial to determine its safety, tolerability, and maximum tolerated dose in patients with advanced non-squamous NSCLC.
