Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Pendulum Glucose Control** is an orally administered proprietary five-strain synbiotic dietary supplement developed by Pendulum Therapeutics. The WBF-038 formulation contains *Akkermansia muciniphila*, *Anaerobutyricum hallii*, *Bifidobacterium infantis*, *Clostridium beijerinckii*, and *Clostridium butyricum*, together with chicory inulin as a prebiotic. It is intended to modulate the intestinal microbiome and promote microbial fermentation and butyrate production, which may support gut-barrier and metabolic functions and indirectly stimulate endogenous GLP-1 release. Clinical studies are evaluating the formulation for metabolic health, prevention of aromatase inhibitor-associated bone loss in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, and mitigation of gastrointestinal toxicity during pelvic radiation.
