Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pentabiocel is a patented blend of five probiotic strains, specifically formulated as a food supplement to promote the balance of intestinal bacterial flora. The formulation contains two strains of Lactobacillus (Lactobacillus paracasei 101/37 LMG P-17504 and Lactobacillus plantarum 14D CECT 4528) and three strains of Bifidobacterium (Bifidobacterium breve Bbr8 LMG P-17501, Bifidobacterium breve BL10 LMG P-17500, and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bi1 LMG P-17502). Scientific research indicates that these probiotics can survive gastric passage and colonize the intestine alive and active. Clinical studies suggest that Pentabiocel may be beneficial for individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity by improving symptoms related to intestinal dysbiosis, which is common in these conditions[1][2][4]. It is available as an oral powder in stick packs.
