Pentadecanoic acid (C15:0) is an essential odd-chain saturated fatty acid recognized for its broad health benefits and pleiotropic mechanisms of action. It acts as a dual partial agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α/δ (PPAR-α/δ), an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), and an inhibitor of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription pathway (JAK-STAT), and histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6)[1][3][5].
