**Pentamethylchromanol** (PMCol, APC-100) is a small molecule related to vitamin E, composed of a chromanol ring lacking the lipophilic phytyl tail, imparting higher water solubility. It functions as an androgen receptor antagonist and exhibits chemopreventive, antineoplastic, and antioxidant activities. PMCol was studied as an oral agent for the prevention and treatment of androgen-dependent cancers, notably prostate cancer.
