PEP-DC is an autologous dendritic cell (DC) vaccine loaded with personalized peptides, designed as a therapeutic cancer vaccine. The approach involves isolating monocyte-derived dendritic cells from the patient, pulsing them with a set of personalized tumor-associated peptides (PEP), and then administering these cells back to the patient as a subcutaneous injection. The goal is to stimulate the patient's immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells expressing those specific antigens. In clinical studies, PEP-DC has been evaluated in combination with low-dose cyclophosphamide for patients with advanced or recurrent metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)[6].
