Overview

Peptide B is a novel heptapeptide identified through phage display peptide library screening for its high affinity toward platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) cells. Developed by researchers at the Tata Memorial Centre and IIT Bombay, it demonstrates significantly higher binding (approximately 3-fold) to cisplatin-resistant EOC cell lines compared to sensitive counterparts. While its specific receptor is still under investigation, it is being explored as a targeting moiety for the development of imaging agents or therapeutic conjugates (such as peptide-drug conjugates) to treat chemoresistant ovarian cancer.
