Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PeptiENV is an investigational **personalized cancer vaccine platform** being developed by Valo Therapeutics and originally acquired from the University of Helsinki. The technology is designed to physically attach tumor antigen or neoantigen peptides to the envelope of clinically relevant **oncolytic enveloped viruses** such as HSV-1, vaccinia virus, and measles-mumps-rubella vaccine viruses using anchoring moieties including cell-penetrating peptide sequences or cholesterol conjugation. This creates a biologic immunotherapy intended to convert the viral backbone into a tumor-directed vaccination approach, thereby enhancing tumor-specific T-cell priming, increasing T-cell infiltration into the tumor microenvironment, and potentially improving the activity of oncolytic virotherapy alone or in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors. The platform has been described for multiple cancers, including melanoma.
