Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PER200 is a systemic enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) being developed by Perseo Pharma for the treatment of Lysosomal Storage Diseases (LSDs). The drug candidate utilizes Perseo's proprietary nanotechnology platform, which features a 'nano-shield' designed to protect therapeutic enzymes from degradation and immune system recognition while maintaining their functional activity. Unlike the company's initial 'Wave 1' candidates, which are oral digestive therapies that bind to the small intestine mucus, PER200 represents a 'Wave 2' expansion into systemic administration. This approach is intended to replace deficient lysosomal enzymes throughout the body to address the underlying pathology of various lysosomal storage disorders. PER200 is currently in the research phase of development.
