Overview
Perative is a high-calorie, high-protein, peptide-based enteral nutrition formula manufactured by Abbott Nutrition. It is designed for metabolically stressed patients, particularly those requiring tube feeding, and can be used as a supplemental or sole source of nutrition. The formula contains partially hydrolyzed proteins for easier absorption, L-arginine for wound healing and immune support, omega-3 fatty acids, and a comprehensive blend of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin E, beta-carotene, zinc, and selenium. It also includes fructooligosaccharides (scFOS) to promote digestive health by stimulating beneficial gut bacteria.
