PeriAcryl 90 HV

PeriAcryl 90 HV is a high-viscosity cyanoacrylate-based tissue adhesive specifically designed for use in oral and periodontal surgical procedures. Developed and manufactured by GluStitch, it consists of a proprietary 9:1 blend of n-butyl cyanoacrylate and 2-octyl cyanoacrylate. This formulation is engineered to combine the rapid polymerization of n-butyl monomers with the flexibility and durability of 2-octyl monomers, creating a strong yet non-brittle 'liquid bandage' upon contact with moist oral mucosa. The high-viscosity (HV) variant is significantly thicker than the standard formulation, allowing for enhanced clinical control and precision during application. It is primarily used to secure periodontal dressings, stabilize sutures, provide hemostasis, and protect surgical sites such as palatal donor areas during the healing process. In addition to its physical barrier properties, it exhibits bacteriostatic activity against common oral pathogens.
