Overview

This is a combination of two small molecule drugs, perindopril and regorafenib. Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor primarily used for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. Regorafenib is an oral multi-kinase inhibitor approved for use in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The combination has been studied in a phase II clinical trial to assess whether perindopril could reduce the incidence or severity of hand–foot skin reaction (HFSR), a common toxicity associated with regorafenib therapy in mCRC patients. The study concluded that adding perindopril did not reduce HFSR incidence or severity compared to regorafenib alone[1][3][4].
