Perinez

Perinez, also known by its brand name ADVATE or the Chinese name 百因止, is a recombinant human coagulation Factor VIII used for the treatment and prevention of bleeding in patients with Hemophilia A. Hemophilia A is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a deficiency of Factor VIII, an essential blood clotting protein. Perinez works by replacing the missing Factor VIII, which acts as a cofactor for Factor IXa in the coagulation cascade, leading to the activation of Factor X and subsequent clot formation. It is a third-generation recombinant factor product, produced using gene recombination technology in Chinese hamster ovary cells, and is free from blood components, thereby reducing the risk of transmitting blood-borne pathogens.
