Personalized neoantigen-based dendritic cell therapy is an innovative cancer immunotherapy approach that utilizes dendritic cells (DCs) loaded with patient-specific neoantigens identified from tumor mutations. The process involves collecting a patient's tumor tissue and blood samples, performing whole-exome and RNA sequencing to identify mutations, selecting potential neoantigens using bioinformatic tools, generating DCs from the patient's monocytes (typically via leukapheresis), loading these DCs with selected neoantigens (often through mRNA transfection), and administering them back to the patient. This therapy harnesses the body's immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells with high specificity, potentially leading to robust and long-lasting immune responses against tumors.
