This personalized neoantigen peptide vaccine is an investigational immunotherapy developed by Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing, for the treatment of recurrent malignant glioma. The vaccine is custom-tailored for each patient based on genetic and transcriptional sequencing of their specific tumor tissue to identify unique neoantigens. These neoantigens are then synthesized as peptides and administered to the patient to stimulate a targeted immune response. The goal of the therapy is to prime the patient's own T-cells to recognize and attack glioma cells expressing these specific neoantigens, potentially overcoming the immunosuppressive environment of the central nervous system and providing a more precise treatment than conventional therapies.
