This personalized immunotherapy, developed by Sichuan University, is a combination of an autologous dendritic cell (DC) vaccine and sensitized T cells designed to treat advanced solid tumors, including melanoma, bladder cancer, and colorectal cancer. The process involves identifying patient-specific mutations (neoantigens) through genomic sequencing of the tumor. Autologous dendritic cells are then loaded with these neoantigens *ex vivo* to create a vaccine that, when administered subcutaneously, primes the patient's immune system. This is supplemented by the administration of T cells that have been sensitized to the same neoantigens to enhance the anti-tumor response. The therapy aims to provide a highly specific immune attack against the patient's unique tumor profile while minimizing off-target effects.
