Personalized tumor neoantigen dendritic cells are an autologous cell-based cancer vaccine developed by Peking University Shenzhen Hospital. The therapeutic process begins with identifying patient-specific somatic mutations (neoantigens) through next-generation sequencing (NGS) of the patient's tumor tissue and healthy cells. Synthetic peptides corresponding to these unique neoantigens are then used to pulse the patient's own monocyte-derived dendritic cells (DCs) in vitro. Once matured and activated, these DCs are re-infused into the patient, where they present the neoantigens to T cells, thereby inducing a potent and specific anti-tumor immune response. This approach is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer and other solid tumors, aiming to overcome the limitations of traditional vaccines by targeting mutations unique to each individual's cancer.
