By targeting the initial colonization site of *Bordetella pertussis*, the vaccine aims to provide enhanced protection against both infection and transmission of whooping cough. The QYNDR platform is engineered to protect the vaccine antigens from the acidic environment of the stomach, allowing for stable, room-temperature delivery to the mucosal immune system.
