Overview
Hanbeiyou + docetaxel is a combination regimen consisting of Hanbeiyou (pertuzumab-dpzb), a biosimilar of the recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody pertuzumab, and the taxane chemotherapy docetaxel. Hanbeiyou, developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech, targets subdomain II of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) extracellular domain, preventing HER2 heterodimerization with other HER family receptors (such as HER3) and inhibiting downstream signaling pathways. Docetaxel is a microtubule stabilizer that binds to tubulin, blocking microtubule disassembly and cell division. This combination is typically used (often alongside trastuzumab) for the neoadjuvant, adjuvant, or metastatic treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer.
