Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PEV-001 is a placebo control formulation developed by POSVAX for use in clinical trials of its 9-valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine candidate, PV-001. It contains the adjuvant aluminum phosphate but lacks the viral antigens (HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58) present in the active vaccine. PEV-001 is used in Phase 1 clinical studies to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of PV-001 in healthy adult women by providing a comparative baseline against which the active vaccine's effects can be measured.
