PF-03382792

PF‑03382792 is an oxindole derivative and a highly potent and selective partial agonist of the serotonin 5‑HT4 receptor. It demonstrates excellent brain penetration and was developed for potential use in central nervous system disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Preclinical studies showed that it increases acetylcholine release in the rat prefrontal cortex and can reverse learning deficits induced by cholinergic agents. Clinical development reached Phase I trials to evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers; however, further development was discontinued[2][5][7][8]. It was developed by Pfizer.
