Overview

**PF-04415060** (also known as BAY 74-4113) is a small molecule inhibitor of diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 1 (DGAT-1), an enzyme involved in the final step of triglyceride synthesis. Originally discovered by Bayer, it was in-licensed by Pfizer in June 2006 and included in a collaboration with Bristol-Myers Squibb for worldwide development in metabolic disorders. The compound showed promise in preclinical testing for reducing triglyceride accumulation, with potential applications in treating obesity and diabetes by modulating lipid metabolism.[3][7][13]
