Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PF-06688992 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed for the treatment of cancer, particularly malignant melanoma. It consists of a monoclonal antibody targeting ganglioside GD3, a surface antigen highly expressed on many malignant melanoma cells. By binding to GD3, the ADC delivers a cytotoxic payload directly to tumor cells, thereby inhibiting their growth and survival. The drug was developed by Pfizer in collaboration with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and has been investigated in clinical trials for unresectable stage III or IV malignant melanoma and multiple myeloma[1][2][5][7].
