Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PF-06817024 is a high-affinity, humanized monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin-33 (IL-33), a proinflammatory type 2 cytokine. By binding to IL-33, the drug inhibits downstream type 2 inflammation. It has been investigated primarily for allergic and inflammatory diseases, including atopic dermatitis and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Clinical studies have shown that PF-06817024 can improve symptoms of rhinosinusitis (such as nasal obstruction and polyp size) and reduce disease severity in atopic dermatitis. The drug was developed by Pfizer as a cytokine modulator for these indications[1][2][3][4][5].
