Overview

PF-07242813 is a biologic drug developed by Pfizer as an anti-CD1a monoclonal antibody for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. It functions as a CD1a inhibitor, targeting the CD1a molecule expressed on Langerhans cells in the skin, which are implicated in inflammatory responses associated with atopic dermatitis. The drug was evaluated in first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in both healthy participants and patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. Administration routes included intravenous and subcutaneous injection. Although initial results indicated that PF-07242813 was generally safe and well tolerated, development for atopic dermatitis has been discontinued following completion of Phase 1 studies[2][3][5][7].
