PF-07820435 is an investigational, orally administered small molecule STING (stimulator of interferon genes) agonist developed by Pfizer for the treatment of solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer and urothelial carcinoma. The drug activates the STING pathway in immune cells within the tumor microenvironment, leading to induction of type I interferons and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. This activation enhances both innate and adaptive immune responses against tumors by increasing antigen presentation, T-cell infiltration, and promoting tumor cell death via T cell and NK cell-mediated mechanisms. PF-07820435 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for various solid tumors.
