Overview

PF-07868489 is an investigational recombinant human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed by Pfizer for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Its mechanism of action involves targeting and neutralizing bone morphogenetic protein 9 (BMP9, also known as GDF2), a member of the TGF-beta superfamily implicated in vascular remodeling and endothelial function. The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection and is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity profile, and preliminary efficacy in both healthy adults and patients with PAH[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
