Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PF-07872445 is an investigational component of an expanded multivalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) developed by Pfizer. It consists of a specific *Streptococcus pneumoniae* capsular polysaccharide conjugated to a carrier protein, designed to elicit a T-cell dependent immune response. This component is being evaluated in combination with other conjugates (including those in Prevenar 20) to extend serotype coverage for the prevention of pneumococcal diseases such as pneumonia, meningitis, and bacteremia in infants. It is currently in Phase 3 development as part of a next-generation PCV regimen.
