Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PF-07960613 is an investigational admixed combination vaccine developed by Pfizer, designed to provide simultaneous protection against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and COVID-19. The vaccine candidate comprises two distinct components: RSVpreF, a bivalent protein subunit vaccine containing stabilized prefusion F antigens from RSV-A and RSV-B subgroups, and a bivalent formulation of BNT162b2, an mRNA vaccine encoding the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein from the original strain and Omicron BA.4/BA.5 variants. By combining these antigens into a single immunization regimen, the candidate aims to simplify vaccination schedules for older adults (aged 65 and older) and reduce the overall burden of respiratory infections. It has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity compared to individual administrations.
