Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PF-3512676 + docetaxel is an investigational combination therapy for cancer, notably non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). PF-3512676 is a synthetic oligodeoxynucleotide Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) agonist that activates plasmacytoid dendritic cells and B lymphocytes, triggering innate and adaptive antitumor immune responses. Docetaxel is a cytotoxic chemotherapy agent that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. PF-3512676 was investigated with cytotoxic chemotherapy regimens (including docetaxel and other taxanes) to potentially enhance immune-mediated tumor cell killing. Clinical trials in advanced NSCLC were discontinued due to lack of efficacy and increased toxicity without clinical benefit[1][3][5].
