Overview

PG-401 is a bispecific antibody therapeutic currently in the discovery stage for the treatment of asthma. Developed by Progen Pharmaceutical in collaboration with Yuhan Corporation, the candidate is engineered using Progen's proprietary NTIG (Neo-Triple Immunoglobulin) technology platform. The NTIG platform is designed to create multi-specific fusion proteins with extended half-lives and enhanced stability by utilizing a modified Fc region that allows for the attachment of multiple targeting moieties. While the specific molecular targets of PG-401 have not been publicly disclosed, the drug is intended to simultaneously modulate two key inflammatory pathways associated with the pathogenesis of chronic or severe asthma, potentially offering superior efficacy over existing monoclonal antibody therapies.
