Overview

FFP104 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as an antagonist of CD40, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It was developed by Fast Forward Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, particularly Crohn’s disease and primary biliary cholangitis (previously called primary biliary cirrhosis). By inhibiting CD40 signaling, which plays a key role in immune activation and inflammation, FFP104 aims to modulate abnormal immune responses underlying these conditions. The drug is administered intravenously and has been evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for safety, tolerability, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy[2][3][4][5][6].
