Overview

PGB-1 is a novel sulfono-γ-AApeptide foldamer that acts as a peptide inhibitor. It is designed to disrupt the interaction between Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 3G (PPP1R3G) and protein phosphatase 1γ (PP1γ), thereby blocking Receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1)-dependent tubular cell death and mitigating necroptosis. Preclinical studies indicate its therapeutic potential in reducing graft injury during kidney transplantation and attenuating kidney fibrosis, suggesting its utility for human chronic kidney disease.
