Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PGS-N005 is a topical cannabinoid-based formulation developed for the treatment of Female Sexual Dysfunction, specifically Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD). The product utilizes the proprietary BiPhasix™ (or Thrudermic) multi-lamellar liposomal delivery system, which is designed to facilitate the transdermal absorption and bioavailability of cannabinoids. Developed by Pivot Pharmaceuticals (now BetterLife Pharma), PGS-N005 aims to modulate the endocannabinoid system to address issues related to sexual desire and arousal. While it was a lead candidate in the company's cannabis-focused pipeline between 2017 and 2020, development appears to have stalled as the company pivoted its focus toward psychedelic-based therapies.
