PGS-N007 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody designed to target the inhibitory receptor NKG2A (Natural Killer Group 2 Member A), which is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and a subset of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CD8+ T cells). Developed by Pegasus Biotech, the drug functions as a checkpoint inhibitor by blocking the interaction between NKG2A and its ligand, HLA-E, which is frequently overexpressed on the surface of various tumor cells. By disrupting this inhibitory signaling pathway, PGS-N007 restores and enhances the effector functions of NK and T cells, promoting a more robust anti-tumor immune response. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, often in combination with other immunotherapies or targeted agents to overcome immune evasion in the tumor microenvironment.
