Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PGX-TEC is a preclinical-stage asset developed by Ceapro using its proprietary Pressurized Gas eXpanded (PGX) technology. The lead candidate, PGX-TEC-Yeast Beta Glucan, is a yeast-derived beta-glucan formulated as an oral tablet intended for use as an immunity modulator. The PGX technology allows for the creation of high-surface-area biopolymers, which can be used to enhance the delivery and efficacy of bioactive ingredients. Another application in the pipeline is Loaded PGX-TEC-ALG (alginate), which is being investigated for wound healing. Beta-glucans are known to interact with immune receptors such as Dectin-1 to stimulate innate immune responses.
