Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pharmasave Advanced Relief Eye Drops is an over-the-counter (OTC) ophthalmic combination product designed for the temporary relief of eye redness and discomfort. It contains tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride (0.05%), a vasoconstrictor that acts as an alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist to constrict conjunctival blood vessels, thereby reducing redness. The formulation also includes three demulcents—dextran 70 (0.1%), povidone (1%), and polyethylene glycol 400 (1%)—which serve as lubricants to soothe minor eye irritation, burning, and dryness. Manufactured by KC Pharmaceuticals and distributed by Teva Canada, the product is intended for topical ophthalmic use in adults and children aged 6 years and older.
