Overview

PharmEnable is developing a small molecule inhibitor of CD73 (ecto-5'-nucleotidase) for the treatment of immunological conditions. CD73 is a key enzyme in the purinergic signaling pathway, responsible for the conversion of extracellular adenosine monophosphate (AMP) into adenosine. In various disease states, elevated adenosine levels act as a potent immunosuppressive signal, dampening the immune response. By inhibiting CD73, this therapeutic candidate aims to decrease adenosine production and modulate immune activity. The program is currently in the discovery and optimization phase, utilizing PharmEnable's medicinal chemistry platform to identify novel small molecule leads.
