Overview

**Phenylephrine + ketorolac** is a fixed-dose intraocular small-molecule combination marketed as **Omidria**. It contains the alpha-1 adrenergic agonist phenylephrine and the nonselective cyclooxygenase inhibitor ketorolac. Added to ocular irrigating solution during cataract surgery or intraocular lens replacement, phenylephrine maintains mydriasis by contracting the iris radial muscle, while ketorolac suppresses prostaglandin production to reduce surgically induced miosis and postoperative ocular pain. The U.S. product is supplied as a 1%/0.3% intraocular solution that is diluted into the surgical irrigation solution before single-patient use.
