PHH-1V is a recombinant protein-based vaccine developed as a booster for COVID-19. It consists of a heterodimeric recombinant receptor-binding domain (RBD) protein that incorporates key mutations (K417N, E484K, N501Y) found in several SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern, including Beta and Omicron. The vaccine is adjuvanted to enhance the immune response and is designed to induce robust neutralizing antibody and T cell responses against multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants. Clinical trials have demonstrated that PHH-1V elicits strong humoral and cellular immunity when used as a booster following primary immunization with mRNA or adenovirus-based COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccine has shown statistically superior neutralizing antibody responses against Beta, Delta, and Omicron variants compared to BNT162b2 (Pfizer/BioNTech), with an excellent safety profile[2][6][8].
