Phlogosol Duo is a topical oral antiseptic and anti-inflammatory solution developed by PannonPharma Ltd. It is a combination product containing two active ingredients: sodium samarium disulfosalicylate and hexachlorophene. Hexachlorophene is a chlorinated bisphenol that acts as a broad-spectrum antiseptic against various bacterial and fungal pathogens. Sodium samarium disulfosalicylate provides local anti-inflammatory effects on the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. The drug is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of inflammatory and infectious conditions of the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx, including acute and chronic pharyngitis, tonsillitis, gingivitis, and aphthous stomatitis. It is typically used as a concentrate for gargling or local application and has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials in Hungary.
