Phoenicia BioScience is developing a small molecule inhibitor of Protein Kinase C delta (PKCδ) specifically designed to treat RAS-driven cancers. PKCδ is a member of the novel protein kinase C (nPKC) subfamily and has been identified as a critical mediator of survival and proliferation in cells transformed by RAS oncogenes, such as KRAS, NRAS, and HRAS. By inhibiting PKCδ, the therapy aims to disrupt the downstream signaling pathways that RAS-mutant tumor cells depend on for survival, potentially offering a targeted approach for cancers that are traditionally difficult to treat with standard therapies.
