Overview

Photosens is a light-sensitizing agent utilized in photodynamic therapy (PDT). Upon activation by specific wavelengths of light, Photosens enters an excited state and subsequently generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals. These highly reactive molecules cause direct cellular damage, leading to cell death. This mechanism of action makes Photosens effective in the treatment of various conditions, including precancerous lesions and early-stage cancers.
