Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Phoxilium is a renal replacement solution used in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) for critically ill patients with acute renal failure. It contains a balanced combination of electrolytes including sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphate, and chloride ions at concentrations similar to physiological levels in normal plasma. It's specifically designed to replace plasma volume removed by ultrafiltration, correct electrolyte and acid-base imbalances, and prevent hypophosphatemia during CRRT.
