Overview

PHV03 is a recombinant viral vector vaccine candidate developed by Public Health Vaccines for the prevention of Sudan ebolavirus infection. The vaccine utilizes a recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus (rVSV) platform, specifically the rVSV∆G-SUDV GP construct, where the native VSV glycoprotein (G) is deleted and replaced with the glycoprotein (GP) of the Sudan ebolavirus. This design allows the attenuated virus to express the SUDV GP antigen, thereby stimulating a robust and protective immune response against the Sudan ebolavirus. PHV03 is currently in the preclinical stage of development and is part of a broader pipeline of rVSV-based vaccines targeting viral hemorrhagic fevers.
