Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PHV04 is a live attenuated viral vector vaccine candidate developed by Public Health Vaccines for the prevention of Bundibugyo virus disease (BDBV). It utilizes the recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus (rVSV) platform, where the native VSV glycoprotein (G) is replaced with the glycoprotein (GP) of the Bundibugyo virus. This platform is designed to induce a protective immune response by presenting the viral glycoprotein to the host immune system. PHV04 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
