PHY-001

PHY-001 is a synthetic small-molecule ligand targeting the macrophage mannose receptor CD206 that is being developed by Physis International as an immuno-oncology agent to modulate tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). Preclinical work presented in oncology congress abstracts describes PHY-001 as a “synthetic CD-206 ligand” designed to either reprogram immunosuppressive M2-like TAMs toward a pro-inflammatory, tumoricidal phenotype or selectively deplete them, thereby relieving immune anergy and enhancing antitumor T-cell responses within solid tumors. The program is positioned for solid tumor indications where macrophage-driven immune suppression contributes to resistance to existing immunotherapies.
