phycocyanin + palmitoylethanolamide + selenium

FICOXPEA is a phytotherapeutic oral supplement developed by Kura srl that combines phycocyanin, palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), and selenium (as L-selenomethionine). Phycocyanin, a pigment-protein complex extracted from *Spirulina platensis*, acts as a selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and a potent scavenger of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Palmitoylethanolamide is an endogenous fatty acid amide that exerts anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by modulating mast cell activation and activating the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-alpha). Selenium is included as L-selenomethionine to support antioxidant defenses as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase. The combination is primarily used to manage inflammatory and painful conditions of the prostate and pelvic area, such as Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CP/CPPS) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and is also being explored for menstrual migraine prophylaxis.
